Dec 12, 2016 - Ulla-Førre – Norway`s power storehouse
In 1974, the Norwegian Parliament granted license for Norway`s largest hydropower project ever. More than 1500 people worked on the development at peak, and the construction was officially concluded in 1988. Today, the Ulla-Førre power system plays a key role in Norwegian energy supply. The watershed covers 2000 sq km. Total output of the power plants is more than 2 gigawatts, or about 7 per cent of the total installed capacity of all Norwegian hydropower plants.
