Jan 5, 2024 - Nuclear Power - Bruce Power In Ontario

The Bruce Nuclear Plant on the Lake Huron is a massive complex, one of the biggest in the world. We travel to Kincardine Ontario to go explore the visitor center and learn more about nuclear power and the technology behind it. There are many facets to nuclear power; CANDU reactors, fuel bundles, isotopes, and disposal. Heavy water is used to moderate the nuclear reaction as well as heat the light water to produce steam. The cooling water is used to condense the steam back to fluid, completing the rankine cycle.
