ENERGY WEEK WESTERN BALKANS ENERGY WEEK WESTERN BALKANS: YOUR GATEWAY TO POWERING THE REGION 7-8 October 2026 Budva, Montenegro Following the success of the 2025 edition, Energy Week Western Balkans has firmly established itself as the region`s leading platform for advancing renewable energy collaboration and investment. Organised by UK-based renewables consultancy Invest In Network, the event continues to unite policymakers, regulators, TSOs, utilities, investors, and developers across the WB6 countries (Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Croatia, creating meaningful dialogue and partnerships that drive real progress. The 2025 conference marked a major step forward in shaping the Western Balkans’ sustainable energy agenda. Across two days of dynamic debates, panels, and networking sessions, industry leaders explored how to turn regional ambition into concrete action. The discussions focused on aligning national frameworks with EU energy transition goals, strengthening investor confidence, and setting the course for 20 GW of new renewable capacity by 2040. Key themes included accelerating the rollout of hybrid renewable projects, tackling grid resilience and digitalisation, advancing hydrogen initiatives, and de-risking investments in solar, wind, and storage. The event also highlighted the increasing role of industrial decarbonisation and market integration, while examining evolving contracting models such as CfDs and corporate PPAs that are reshaping energy trading across the region.  |
